These articles are based on my observations of everyday life. They are, of course, quite silly due to the fact that, though I do not consider life a joke, I consider it down right hilarious most of the time.
In my senior year of Highschool I joined a
Journalism I class. Due to a severe lack of journalists, I along with several
other novices were enlisted to write for the school paper, the Mustang
Messenger, which was basically a Journalism II project.
I wrote several articles, all of which were
vastly different than anything the paper had ever seen. One article in particluar
("1-2-3-4 What Are We Fighting For?") was very contraversial due to the
high patriot/ fanatic/nationalist/cultist/millitia population in my school,
and I recieved numerous threats of bodily harm and some of the dumbest
arguements I've ever had the displeasure of being forced to partake in.
Needless to say that, as a journalist, I felt
damn good.I do owe thanks to Katie Bowen, however. She was a close friend
who I'm sure helped to get a lot of my articles printed and not burned
at the stake ...mmmm...steak...
During my highschool and college career I have had to write a great many papers, either as assignments or extra credit, and here are the ones I saved. I should note that most of these papers are not my favorites due to harsh restrictions placed on them by my proffesors. These people have no originallity. Thesis - Body - Conclusion. That's all they believe in. No wonder there are so few good writers out there.
