It wasn't until I began reading the manga that
I realized how neat a series Tenchi Muyo really was. The movie, In Love,
convinced me.
Tenchi, a not-so-average highschool student,
accidentally releases a demon from an ancient family shrine. The demon,
Ryoko, turns out to be a Space Pirate and has her own ship (the adorable
Ryo-ohki...a cabbit who turns into a massive war machine)! Soon after,
Ayeka, princess of the Royal Jurai family, lands on Earth in search of
her missing brother Yosho. Tension rises as both Ryoko and Ayeka have fallen
in love with Tenchi!
Other characters arise such as Ayeka's younger
sister, Sasami (cute doesn't justify her), Little Washu (A mad scientist
and Ryoko's mother!), and the bubbleheaded but kind hearted galaxy police
detective Mihoshi (who is the bomb, admit it).
